“Wait – you rent clothes?” is a question Ruth Hartman often receives. As Chief Merchandising Officer of online fashion rental service, Le Tote, Ruth shares her insights on the importance of good data, gut, and a dedication to curating seamless customer experiences.

While working with Le Tote, Ruth has seen customer needs evolve from ownership to access; the ability to have newness without the clutter. Le Tote’s customer is interested in fashion but doesn’t live for it - so Le Tote provides them convenience, data based suggestions and the opportunity to trade out as many wardrobes as they like for a flat monthly fee.
